New/Sealed. 180 Grams.

A man decades ahead of his time, composer, vibraphonist and bandleader, Roy Ayers has made a significant impression with his contributions to American music genres funk, soul, R&B, disco, hip-hop and jazz. Beginning his career as a jazz player, Ayers released several albums with Atlantic Records before bringing his brand of soul-jazz to Verve and Polydor where he released a succession of landmark albums such as UbiquityVibrationsMystic Voyage and Everybody Loves The Sunshine. 1977's Come Into Knowledge is the lone album released under the Roy Ayers Music Productions moniker. Co-produced with Edwin Birdsong and William Allen, the rare groove classic is chock full of smoothed out jazz-funk joints like the updated version of "Everybody Loves The Sunshine" which is arguably better than the original and "Daylight" which was famously sampled by A Tribe Called Quest on "Bonita Applebum."
