2026 marks the 20th anniversary of Koop Islands, the acclaimed third and final studio album by Swedish duo Koop. Blending jazz, swing, electronica and cinematic orchestration, the album established Koop as an internationally renowned act, with extensive worldwide touring and a catalogue that continues to attract a large global streaming audience.
Featuring guest vocalists Ane Brun, Yukimi Nagano of Little Dragon, Mikael Sundin and Earl Zinger, Koop Islands includes the international streaming hit "Koop Island Blues", now with more than 100 million Spotify streams. The album also features "Strange Love", Koop's second most-streamed song, which is included here as a bonus track. Previously unavailable on a standard European vinyl edition, this marks the first time the track is presented in this format. The original vinyl pressing of Koop Islands was extremely limited and has become a highly sought-after collector's item, with original copies commanding high prices on Discogs. This 20th anniversary edition presents the album in a luxurious cut-out sleeve, echoing the distinctive design of the original CD edition. A landmark release in Swedish electronic jazz, Koop Islands returns to vinyl in a definitive anniversary edition.
